I used to really like this creative Japanese inventions when I first saw them many years ago. They look quite classical today although some of them are pretty useless!

This is the one of the most amazing hotel I have ever seen. Why? Cos, this Holliday Inn hotel is made entirely of hotel key cards! It’s Byran Berg, the Guinness World Record holder who first broke the record for “World’s Tallest House of Freestanding Playing Cards” in 1992, created the jaw droppig key card hotel by 200,000 cards and weighs two tons!

What will be the future trend for laptop evolution? IdeaButter found some concept laptop design from vudn to give us at least some indications what future laptop will look like. Especially the last photo, the classic look just “blows my mind”!

Based on the good feedback from the previous post about packaging design, I would like to introduce anther great work from Siwei Liu, the ‘Tactility’, a mobile phone especially designed for the blind. I like the simple design and tidy colour, hope we would pay more attention to blind people and assist them whenever we can!

I found some great packing design by Siwei Liu, an industrial design student from The Art Institute of Seattle. I especially like the Pure’ water bottle design!

Since IdeaButter Grand Opening on 01/08/09, so much efforts has been input to this site and my goal has been achieved today 14/09/09, that Ideabutter.com is now ranked 985054 globally by Alexa. The achievement may not be great at all to some IT professionals. To me, a 9 to 5 full time employee spends leisure time to do this site, is such a great recognition to all my efforts. I appreciate all IdeaButter readers for your support and regular visit, that’s what motivates me. Thank you so much!

This heavy metal look Nike shoe designed by Gabriel Dishaw is so different from other Nike shoes. What is so special about it? Take a closer look, it is made purely from junk, materials you could found from rubbish bin. It’s fair to say this is a ‘rubbish’ Nike shoe!

What is so special about this chess set? Take a closer look, wow it’s a Star War Lego Chess set which was built in April this year and debuted at Star Wars Days at Legoland California. These nice portrait photos are taken by Flickr user icgetaway.

Another stunning look concept car, ‘The Equilibrium Car’ by Bob Romkes, has once again impressed me way too much. The curve, the material and the red internal light from its wheel are so incredible.

What is this wierd looking object? It looks like a mobula ray. Yes, it’s ‘Mobula’ designed by Chris Cooke, a 2009 graduate of Coventry University’s transport design program. In simple language, Mobula is concept conbination of aircraft and cruise ship. In theory, passengers would be located in the ‘wings’ section. How awesome is that!
